The Settlement of Kyprianos.
Kyprianos is part of the history of the “workers’ residence” of the 19th century. The district of Kyprianos is considered to be the “most intact from the concrete”, in relation to the other districts of the city of Lavrio, because it seems to retain much of the physiognomy it had at the end of the 19th century.
At that time in the then deserted area of Lavreotiki, it was deemed necessary to build houses to house the workers, who would work in the established French Mining Company of Lavrio in the area of Kyprianos, which was located next to the premises of the company.
In an area of about 75 acres, 32 residential complexes with 190 apartments offer housing to about 190 families. The settlement is located at the northern end of the city on the main artery that connects Lavrio with Athens.
Among the 32 houses you will find our complete renovated accommodation connecting the past with the future. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and cycling.
A reference point worth visiting during your stay is the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio.
